Brandon Williams to have in-home visit with UCLA

Another Pac-12 school joins the race

Another Pac-12 school has joined the hunt for former Arizona commit Brandon Williams.

The four-star point guard is set to have an in-home visit with UCLA assistant coach Duane Broussard on Monday, per national recruiting analyst Jake Weingarten.

Williams is already scheduled to have an in-home visit with Arizona State’s coaching staff on Sunday, and then another with Oregon head coach Dana Altman and assistant Tony Stubblefield on Tuesday.

Arizona’s Sean Miller visited Williams last Monday as the Wildcats try to lure the Crespi High School product back to Tucson.

Williams decommitted from the UA on March 2 after ESPN reported FBI wiretaps have Sean Miller discussing a $100,000 payment to secure the signing of Deandre Ayton, but Williams has been adamant that Arizona is still in consideration.

UCLA isn’t exactly an ideal fit for Williams since it could return starting point guard Aaron Holiday as well as former five-star recruit Jaylen Hands. Plus, the Bruins have a commitment from four-star point guard Tyger Campbell, who is the No. 13 player at his position.

But UCLA has already nabbed Shareef O’Neal from the Wildcats, and landing Williams would be another coup for the Bruins, who already have the third-ranked recruiting class in the country.

Williams is the No. 31 player in the 2018 class and No. 7 point guard.
