2018 3-star OL Donovan Laie signs with Arizona

Laie finished off his high school career by winning First Team All-San Diego honors for the third straight year

The Arizona Wildcats have signed three-star offensive lineman Donovan Laie who is one of two Polynesian players in UA’s 2018 class. (the other being defensive end Nahe Sulunga).

Here is some info on the future Wildcat.

Height/Weight: 6-foot-5, 290 pounds

High School: Oceanside High School

Hometown: Oceanside, California

247Sports Ranking: National - 1,215th; Position - 109th

Other Offers: Colorado, Oregon State, Colorado State, San Diego State, Hawaii, and San Jose State

My Thoughts: Laie is a force along the offensive line. He is powerful and actually moves well for someone his size. He is imposing human being and has a real nasty edge to his game. He also controls his body well and has nice footwork. He is coming in to Tucson with nice size and has the frame to add some more weight. Laie finished off his high school career by winning First Team All-San Diego honors for the third straight year.

Senior Highlights:

Laie’s Thoughts on becoming a Wildcat: “I’m beyond excited!”

Favorite Food: “Wings and breadsticks for sure!”

Favorite Music Artist: “Miguel.”

Hobby/Hobbies: “Basketball, volleyball, and hanging with friends.”

Major: “I want to major in education. I want to be a special education teacher!”
