3-star WR Tre Adams commits to Arizona Wildcats

Another Texas commit for Arizona

The Arizona Wildcats picked up a commitment from three-star wide receiver Tre Adams on Wednesday, he announced on Twitter.

Adams, a 6-foot-3 target, hails from Wakeland High School in Frisco, Texas. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 193 receiver in the 2018 class.

Adams is Arizona’s third commit from Texas, as the Wildcats look to re-establish their recruiting pipeline in that state, after it was abandoned when Mike Stoops was fired in 2011.

That said, Adams is originally from Arizona, hence why he tweeted that he’s “goin’ home.”

Adams held offers from Utah, Illinois, BYU, Boise State, and Iowa State among others. Arizona offered Adams on July 19, and he unofficially visit the UA in September.

Adams is the second wide receiver in Arizona’s 2018 class, with three-star prospect Jaden Mitchell being the other.

The Wildcats now have 12 commitments, and their 2018 class is ranked ninth in the Pac-12 and 69th in the country.

Here are Adams’ junior year highlights:
