Arizona football: Paul Magloire re-joining Tampa Bay Buccaneers after successful surgery
Magloire will be back in Tampa with the Buccaneers soon
After a couple of weeks of rookie mini-camp and organized team activities with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, former Arizona Wildcats linebacker Paul Magloire Jr. was waived by the organization in May.
The UA standout re-aggravated a groin injury he suffered during the last few games of his Arizona career, leading the Buccaneers to place him on injured reserve.
It took Magloire off Tampa Bay’s 90-man roster, but allowed it to keep his rights.
Magloire will be spending his entire rookie season on IR.
He recently underwent a successful double hernia and torn groin muscle procedure in Scottsdale. His recovery is expected to take seven to eight months and he will be back in Tampa Bay in two weeks to start his rehab.
In the meantime, he will be mastering the playbook and his role as a linebacker.
After the 2017 season, Magloire will have two years remaining on his contract.
Magloire was Arizona’s leading tackler in 2016, but went unselected in April’s NFL Draft, despite an impressive pro day and performance in the East-West Shrine Game.
