Arizona guard Allonzo Trier to return to school next season
A third year of Trier is coming
For the second year in a row, Allonzo Trier has decided he’d rather stay with the Arizona Wildcats instead of declare for the NBA Draft.
ESPN’s Jeff Goodman was the first to report that Trier will return to school next year.
After missing the first 19 games of the 2016-17 season due to a PED suspension, Trier wound up being the team’s leading scorer, averaging 17.2 points per game.
His late season run resulted in him being placed on the second team All-Pac-12, and he was also the Pac-12 Tournament MVP.
Trier is making the decision after his Draft stock fell a little bit. Draft Express currently has him as the 35th pick in the 2018 Draft.
This also flies in the face of a pretty hilarious tweet that Trier sent out late Wednesday night that had plenty of people upset.

Now his Twitter has a much different tune:

Also, Trier's mother says he's all in and committed to bringing home a national championship to Arizona...

Trier will be a National Player of the Year candidate with this decision. It is interesting that he’s not even going to test the NBA Draft waters — just like last year — despite the obvious benefits of doing so like Chance Comanche and Rawle Alkins will see.
It also makes Arizona an early title contender in theory. We’ll see if things actually work out the way Trier envisions them working.
