NCAA Tournament bracket 2017: Two-seed Arizona will play North Dakota on Thursday

A trip to SLC ends up on the schedule this year after all.

After winning the Pac-12 Tournament with big wins over the Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins, the Arizona Wildcats have earned a two-seed in the West Region of this year’s NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats will take on North Dakota in the first round of the tournament on Thursday in Salt Lake City. The 7/10 matchup is Saint Mary’s and VCU.

The one-seed in the West is the Gonzaga Bulldogs, and those regional games will be played in San Jose in two weeks. Gonzaga also plays in Salt Lake City with a date against 16-seed South Dakota State. Northwestern and Vanderbilt are the Zags’ potential second round matchups.

The Pac-12 will have four teams in the tournament. The USC Trojans are the 11-seed in the East and will have to face the Providence Friars in the First Four. Oregon is the 3-seed in the Midwest, playing Iona in Sacramento on Friday. UCLA is the 3-seed in the South, and will face Kent State in Sacramento as well.

Also of note, Archie Miller’s Dayton Flyers will get Wichita State in the first round.
