Arizona football recruiting: Wildcats offer 5-star kicker Lucas Havrisik
Arizona is still trying to address the special teams issues
The Arizona Wildcats staff has made it clear that they want to go in a new direction on special teams when it comes to field goals and kickoff specialists. They had recently offered former Baylor kick Spencer Evans, though he never made it to campus for his official visit.
Now an offer goes out out to Lucas Havrisik, a five-star kicker according to Chris Sailer Kicking. Havrisik hails from Norco High School (Norco, CA) as a dual-sport athlete in football and soccer.
Thankful God has opened up the door for me to play D1 football. Very blessed to receive an offer from the University of Arizona. #BearDown http://pic.twitter.com/e1QuNWFvBm

“I had a very positive experience with Coach (Charlie) Ragle and I was extremely thankful for the offer,” Rivisik said about the staff and his offer.
Rivisik will plan to visit Tucson in January, but is still trying to schedule an exact date. He has been hearing from Portland State, UNLV, and a handful of Division-II schools.
He is unsure as to when he wants to end his recruitment, perhaps during his official visit to Arizona, but when it comes time to do so, he will be basing it off of the campus, academics, and then the coaching staff. This is a commitment you could expect to go in favor of the Wildcats.
At Norco High, Havrisik went 11/16 on field goals, with longs of 43, 44, 47, 48, and two from 51 yards out. He punted 40 times for 1,591 yards, averaging just under 40 yards a boot. He kicked off 87 times, forcing a touchback 82 of those instances.
