Arizona basketball: Allonzo Trier not dressed for Wildcats’ game vs. Gonzaga
He’s on the trip, but not playing still
For the first time all season, Arizona Wildcats guard Allonzo Trier traveled with the team when they flew from Tucson to Los Angeles on Friday for Saturday’s showdown with the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
However, the sophomore is still not suited up for this particular game.

According to the Daily Star’s Bruce Pascoe, Trier would have made the flight for two reasons: He’s cleared, or he is paying his own way while joining the team.
Trier has not played in a game for Arizona this year besides the Red-Blue Game as concerns about his eligibility continue to linger around the program. The school has not commented on it due to privacy concerns, and will likely not comment on it until a final resolution has been reached.
Last season, Trier averaged 14.8 points per game, which was the best mark by any Wildcat returner.
Arizona and Gonzaga are scheduled to tip-off at 3:30 PM MT on ESPN as part of the HoopHall event in Los Angeles. USC and BYU is the second game taking place in Staples Center on Saturday.
