Sonoran Hot Reads: Diamondbacks fire Chip Hale

The UA alum is no longer in charge of the local MLB club

After putting up a 69-93 record for the Arizona Diamondbacks this year, and a total record of 148-176 in two years, Arizona alum Chip Hale was fired as the team’s manager. He, along with GM Dave Stewart are now out of jobs after the team came nowhere near to living up to high expectations this year. According to Baseball Reference, Hale had a 22-15 record in replay challenges, and was one of the better challengers in 2015. That’s all he has going for him though. He wasn’t a very good manager, but maybe he’ll get another shot somewhere else
