Arizona basketball: Allonzo Trier’s status for exhibition game unclear
A very strong no comment from Sean Miller this time around
As the Arizona Wildcats prepare for their first exhibition game on Tuesday night, the status of sophomore guard Allonzo Trier still remains unclear.
With rumors about a possible season-long suspension looming, head coach Sean Miller was once again asked about Trier’s status by the Daily Star’s Bruce Pascoe, and gave the following:

When pressed on it again, to try and explain to the fans what to expect on Tuesday, Miller went the route of deciding to be a bit more combative about it.
“I was taught a long time ago when I was four years old...no doesn’t mean maybe. Maybe that’s just Beaver County, Pennsylvania, but no doesn’t mean maybe. No doesn’t mean maybe.”
Miller also would not say who was starting on Tuesday, though he did say Arizona will start the five players they would start if the game counted toward the overall record.
Also of note, Miller would not comment on the basketball program’s relationship with the Harvey Mason Jr. family when asked about Trey Mason’s decision to not be on the team this season. Trey is still enrolled at the University of Arizona. Trey’s sister Mia is still listed on the school’s Beach Volleyball roster.
Arizona is set to tip off against the College of Idaho Coyotes Tuesday night at 7:30 PM PT. The Coyotes were in McKale prior to Miller’s press conference on Monday.
