BYU’s running back certainly didn’t look rusty

If there’s one thing the Arizona Wildcats’ defense struggled with in the opener against the BYU Cougars, it was tackling. When facing a mobile quarterback and a bruising running back, this becomes a bigger issue. Though it appeared the defensive line did pretty well against BYU’s offense line, Jamaal Williams got a ton of yards by himself. He ended up with 162 yards, and according to Pro Football Focus, that was thanks to 12 missed tackles on 30 touches. That’s not going to get it done

- Sticking with the tackling theme here, Jon Johnston over at Corn Nation took a look at the inconsistencies with the targeting rule in the first week of action

- This week’s opponent, Grambling State, is technically ranked 40th in this week’s FCS Coaches Poll. However, the Wildcats opened as a 46.5 point favorite, which is a lot more points than they scored at all last week

- Arizona commit Braxton Burmeister is on the cover of the San Diego Football Nights Lights Magazine issue entitled "Is This the Best Recruiting Class San Diego Has Ever Had?". However, he did not make our top performers from Arizona’s 2017 recruiting class this week
