Arizona football recruiting: Wildcat commits Malik Hausman and Elijah Watson playing on ESPN2 on Saturday

Your chance to watch a couple of future Wildcats on national TV

With high school football in full swing and the Arizona Wildcats’ recruiting class holding 26 commitments, it’s time to shift the focus over to see the progression of this class. I’ve mentioned before that Arizona is starting to tap into some bigger programs now, ones that are televised weekly.

U of A will have two commits playing on ESPN2 this weekend, as well as some former and current targets.

The games take place on Saturday, August 27th, with IMG Academy (FL) taking on Grayson (GA). MaxPreps writers have Grayson ranked No. 2 in the nation, with IMG Academy ranked No. 4.

Elijah Watson worked his way into IMG’s first game of the season in the fourth quarter, where he produced back-to-back sacks. That game will be at 6 PM ET on ESPN2.

Following Watson and IMG will be Bishop Gorman (NV) vs. Cedar Hill (TX) at 9 PM ET on ESPN2. In the polls, the writers have Gorman at No. 3 and Cedar at No. 5.

Malik Hausman will be holding down a spot in the secondary for Bishop. He’ll have his hands full, as Cedar Hill has two top 70 receivers, Jaylon Johnson, committed to Colorado, and Charleston Rambo, committed to Oklahoma.
