Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona's CWS pool completely set

We now know the three teams the Wildcats have to get through to reach the Championship Finals

As we're now officially kicking off College World Series week here in Tucson, the Arizona Wildcats know the three other schools that will be in their pool despite Florida and Florida State needing a Monday game. We already knew that Miami would be the first opponent after their eventful Game Three win over Boston College on Sunday. Oklahoma State joined the group with a 3-1 win over South Carolina to sweep that Super Regional. And then it looked like UCSB and Louisville were going to a third game, and then this happened:

Yeah, a walk-off grand slam to go to Omaha. That's about as legit as it gets. We'll have more later in the week on how Arizona and the Gauchos are carrying the banner for the west this year.

- The Wildcats came back to Tucson to a nice reception at Hi Corbett

- I wrote about Jay Johnson and how his move to Arizona has paid off so much faster than he could have thought. It was so good the NCAA stole it

- Cody Ramer has a really gross helmet, and he and Zach Gibbons licked it after winning on Saturday. I can confirm they are both still alive somehow. At least as of Sunday afternoon

Basketball

- Arizona is among the schools vying for Collin Sexton's services

Football

- 3-star WR Brian Casteel committed over the weekend

- Gabe also chatted with Malik Hausman, who has Arizona at the top of his list

Track and Field

- A couple of updates from NCAA Championships this weekend that we didn't get to before. Sage Watson earned All-America honors in the 400m hurdles. And Gerhard de Beer finished 4th in the discus

Tucson news

- I'm just going to skip Tucson news today and just give you these Gabby Giffords tweets after the nightclub massacre in Orlando
