Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona offers 2018 combo forward Zion Williamson

The Wildcats are in on another top 2018 prospect

As the 2018 basketball recruiting class continues to clear up near the top of the rankings, one guy that is emerging is 6-foot-7 combo forward Zion Williamson. With visits already lined up to Clemson, NC State and UNC, the young man from Spartanburg, SC added offers from Arizona, ASU and Auburn on Monday. Williamson is currently ranked the 14th-best prospect overall in the 2018 class, and has at least 14 offers to this point

Baseball

- Oklahoma State won its second-straight 1-0 game by taking down Arizona and Bobby Dalbec

- The game got kind of overshadowed by the dugout taking a shower midgame

- The Wildcats will face UCSB on Wednesday after the Gauchos picked up the school’s first-ever win at the CWS, and eliminated Miami at the same time

- Oregon State head coach Pat Casey turned down a job offer from Texas

Football

- Scooby Wright threw out the first pitch at the Indians game

- A guy that really looked up to Wright, Kendal Franklin, announced that he will be transferring from Arizona

- The Wildcats did land a commitment from three-star corner Malik Hausman

- Pat Haden apparently took money from a USC scholarship foundation for himself

Tucson news

- A pretty classy matchup in the Tucson Restaurant Tournament with Zinburger and 1702 meeting in the first round

- You could go see bighorn sheep in their natural environment in the middle of July

- A piece of property is available, but the new owner will be decided in an essay contest
