Arizona football recruiting: Three-star wide receiver Warren Jackson "fell in love" with Arizona

A huge target that could address the size concern at wide receiver

The Arizona Wildcats have a lot of questions this 2016 season with the wide receiver depth, particularly trying to play with a lot of size. Trey Griffey checks in at 6-foot-3 and Cam Denson is pushing 6-foot-even on the outside. While Arizona does bring in 6-foot-6 target Shawn Poindexter, he has some eligibility questions regarding how many years he has remaining. The Wildcats have also added 6-foot-4 USF transfer Zach Benjamin, who should be eligible immediately.

Arizona has been trying to address the size issue with this recruiting class, going after quite a few receivers including the No. 1 ranked target in the nation, Joseph Lewis. They're also chasing Bryan Thompson and Bryce Gilbert, all receivers over 6-foot-2.

Another big man to watch out for is Warren Jackson, 6-foot-6 3-star prospect out of Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, CA). I got a chance to speak with him about his recruitment.

"Well I first started talking to Coach [Tony] Dews for a little bit through my old receiver coach and we have maintained that contact and after a couple of weeks they offered," he explained.

"I was very excited," he said about receiving his offer. "And when I went on a visit I fell in love with it. I felt like they have a really good academic program and they treated me like family and everyone was so helpful."

His initial visit was back on March 23rd and he will most likely visit this summer. Despite growing interest from Washington, Washington State, Oregon and Fresno State -- who all seem close to offering -- he has no other plans as of now to visit those schools. His offer list also includes Colorado, Colorado State and Oregon State. He will try to visit Colorado State this summer.

When it comes to deciding on his future school, academics will be his biggest decision factor. Proximity to home and scheme will also play a factor.

As to where Arizona ranks on his list?

"Definitely at the top of my list. Not saying number one but definitely up there."

Jackson would like to decide on his college by mid-season or closer towards the end of his senior season. His junior year highlights are below.
