Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona basketball 15th in average attendance last year
Maybe Tucson needs a bigger arena
Although the Arizona Wildcats sold out just about every home game last season, the size of McKale Center kept Arizona 15th overall in college basketball attendance, and can't even claim the best mark in the west. That belongs to BYU. Kentucky averaged almost 9,000 more people per game than Arizona this year, taking the top spot in the country over Syracuse, Louisville, North Carolina and Maryland. That's a lot of ACC. Utah was second in the Pac-12, taking 24th overall in the country. Here's the entire list:

Baseball
- This weekend's Super Regional is a Greg Byrne special. Here's a great look at the impact he had at Mississippi State, and how similar it is to what he's done at Arizona
- Baseball America had an anonymous coach give some huge praise to this team in their Starkville Super Regional preview
- The baseball team has traveled a lot in recent weeks, but it's not bothering them. Here they are enjoying some local food
- The MLB Draft starts Thursday night. Kevin Ginkel has certainly improved his stock over the second half of the season
