Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona basketball schedules home-and-home with Baylor

A decent home game in the future?

A lot of people have been complaining about the lack of quality opponents coming to McKale Center, with some even saying they would give up their season tickets because of the poor competition coming to Tucson. That may change in 2018. The Arizona Wildcats announced they will have a home-and-home with the Baylor Bears starting in the 2018-19 season, starting with a game in Tucson. Arizona will make the return trip to Waco in 2019-20.

Arizona officially added UNC Asheville transfer Dylan Smith late Wednesday night

Football

Rich Rodriguez joined The Solid Verbal to talk about the evolution of college football offenses, the recruiting process and more

- RichRod is a good guy to talk about offenses, since Arizona is one of 25 schools that has averaged more than 30 points a game in each of the last three years

- Watch for Braxton Burmeister to possibly recommit to Arizona Friday morning

Baseball

- A Tucson Regional is becoming more of a reality. D1Baseball has Fresno State, Cal State Fullerton and St. Mary's coming to Tucson. Meanwhile, Baseball America has UC-Santa Barbara, BYU and New Mexico making the trip. Both of those potential fields are super intriguing and stacked

- The postseason is almost a lock now, which is nice for these seniors that have not experienced that in their college careers

- It seems TBA is going to be doing a lot of pitching in this weekend's series against ASU. Hope his arm doesn't blow out by the end of Sunday's game

Other sports

- Madison and McKenna Witt were named All-Americans

Tucson news

- Tucson and Arizona not making the most road rage list is a travesty

- May 17th will be when the next hurdle for the AHL coming to Tucson should be cleared
