Sonoran Hot Reads: Nick Foles on the trading block

The Rams seem to be moving on

Since the Los Angeles Rams took former Cal quarterback Jared Goff with the first pick in this year's NFL Draft, that means former Arizona Wildcats quarterback Nick Foles is now expendable. It seems the team is looking for picks in this year's draft as compensation, and "at least five" teams have expressed interest in acquiring Foles. It's probably better for Foles to go elsewhere since the Rams will be focused on Goff and Case Keenum, but it would have been nice to have him play closer to Tucson. Either way, let's hope he goes somewhere where he'll get an opportunity to succeed

- Speaking of the Draft, Scooby Wright III has still not heard his name called. But we can spend time watching his brief cameo on Ballers

Four-star OT Adrian Ealy put Arizona in his top twelve, but check out the other schools that the Wildcats are grouped with....holy cow:

- Just remember that the Pac-12 probably breaks rules in recruiting just like the SEC

- The Pac-12 Network screwed up our viewing of a live baseball game, but this appears to be the difference in Arizona's 8-5 loss to USC. The rubber game is scheduled for 2 PM PT on Pac-12 Network

Softball

- Danielle O'Toole was good, but just not good enough in a 2-0 series-opening loss to Oregon

Other sports

- The Witt twins made it to the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Pairs Finals, but fell in straight sets, 22-20, 22-20

Men's golf is in 9th place after two rounds at the Pac-12 Championships

Tucson news

- A train struck and killed a person in the downtown area

- A few cars in an east side neighborhood had their windows smashed

- As the end of the Greyhound Track appears to be approaching, there are plenty of greyhounds up for adoption
