Arizona football recruiting: Devon Modster decommits from Wildcats
One less quarterback for next year's class
A lot of the talk for the Arizona Wildcats heading into 2016 was the amount of quality quarterbacks that would be on the practice field.
Well, that number is one less as Devon Modster has decommitted from Arizona:

Modster is a two-sport star at Tesoro High School, as he is currently putting up big numbers on the hardwood after having a nice season on the football field as well.
He is the 13th-ranked pro-style quarterback in the nation, so this is obviously a tough loss for the Arizona coaching staff. However, Khalil Tate remains committed to Arizona at this time, despite swirling rumors that he could possibly decommit as well. Tate is scheduled to enroll at the University of Arizona in early January, and join the team for spring practice in February.
It's unclear where Modster would go from here, but there should certainly be plenty of options given his talent level. The issue is that it's so late in the game, that most schools already have a quarterback centerpiece lined up if they were looking for one.
This will bring Arizona's current class back down to 17 after adding Kapri Doucet earlier on New Year's Eve.
