Sonoran Hot Reads: First College Football Playoff rankings released
The Pac-12 is...uh...alright
While the state of Arizona doesn't really have anything at stake with the College Football Playoff this year outside of which two teams will end up in Glendale, the rest of the Pac-12 still does, and the first rankings were not good for the conference. Stanford is the top Pac-12 team, and they are 11th. Utah is 12th. UCLA is 23rd, and is somehow ahead of two undefeated teams in Houston and Toledo (the Rockets did lose Tuesday night to NIU). Ted Miller explains what's happening here, and it's not because Pat Haden had to leave the committee, and Condoleezza Rice isn't allowed to make cases for Stanford

- Women's tennis is heading out to California this weekend
- Women's golf finished 3rd in Hawaii behind UCLA and ASU
