Arizona vs. Stanford: Three keys to a Wildcats' victory over the Cardinal

How can Arizona improve to 4-1?

With the Arizona Wildcats dropping out of the Top 25 this week, it only made sense to have a Stanford drop out be the theme of this week's Three Keys.

That drop out is Reese Witherspoon, who studied English Literature in Palo Alto for one year before deciding to just be an actress full-time. That was probably a good decision on her part.

Her IMDb has her being in 47 different things. Since we only need three, that seems like enough.

Here are the three keys to Arizona taking down Stanford and getting some confidence back as a team.

1. Little Nicky

If Arizona has any chance at winning this game, I would imagine it will come with Nick Wilson going for somewhere around 200 yards on something like 25 or 30 carries. Even if Jerrard Randall starts the game and busts out big runs at the beginning, you can bet Stanford will key-in on that, making Wilson's carries that much more important. The running game has been really good this year, and the Wildcats need it to be even better this week.

2. Walk the Line

...back. What does that mean? Get tackles for loss. Lots of them. Arizona is 78th in the country in tackles for loss this year. That's not good enough. Especially when you're playing a team like Stanford. Let's hope that the scout team offensive line gave the starting defensive line all it could handle this week, and Reggie Gilbert and company will be making plays in the backfield like it's nothing.

3. A Far Off Place

Heading into this week, the only thing Pac-12 teams have needed to win on the road has been, well, being on the road. In conference games, Pac-12 road teams have gone 6-0, and have done so in dominating fashion. Arizona left for Palo Alto Friday morning, and a slightly extended road trip may have been just what the doctor ordered for this team. No outside distractions of playing in Tucson. No national pressure that came with the UCLA game. Just a business trip to the Bay Area. I think them just being together with nothing else going on for a couple days might be good for them, and could turn into a win. And #Pac12AfterDark is so unpredictable anyway, who knows what's gonna happen.
