Arizona football recruiting: Wildcats have outside shot with 5-star receiver N'Keal Harry

N'Keal Harry has been a frequent visitor on campus, but it seems as if Arizona is on the outside looking in.

One of the Arizona Wildcats' top targets, N'Keal Harry, is set to announce his college commitment on Monday. Arizona has recruited Harry heavily, and have hosted him on many unofficial visits, making him the top priority since landing Michael Eletise back in June.

The 5-star receiver out of Chandler High (Chandler, AZ), could choose virtually any school in the country. He released his top 10 a few months ago, and it seems as if Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon State, Texas A&M, and Washington are the schools still in the running.

Texas A&M has been dominating the state of Arizona in recruiting, landing Kyle Allen and Christian Kirk, Arizona's top prospect in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Texas A&M seems like a great destination for Harry, but there are a few factors in his recruitment that play a huge factor.

First, is the latest news, in which both N'Keal Harry, and 4-star corner out of Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ), Byron Murphy, have said that they want to play together in college, coming as a package deal. This news should be a little concerning to Wildcat fans, as it seems Byron Murphy lost interest in Arizona quite some time ago. As of now, Washington, Texas A&M and Arizona State seem to be the top suitors for Murphy. However, the two did recently say that they would take a trip to Tucson together.

On the flip side, N'Keal Harry's grandmother is a huge influence, and staying close to her is something that Harry is definitely considering. This gives Arizona a gleam of hope to get back into the picture. But possibly the last hope for Arizona, is the fact that his girlfriend is a member of Arizona's track and field team, which obviously gives him an emotional appeal.

But as of now, I'd expect that the two stay close to home at Arizona State. It gives both of them the best of both worlds, staying close to home, and playing for a steady team on the rise, with frequent uniform swag, and tough non-conference opponents on their schedule. N'Keal would be close to his grandmother, and still very close to his girlfriend as well.

Texas A&M is also a very strong option, and I wouldn't be shocked to see the combo deal choose College Station. But a commitment to Arizona, at this point, would definitely be a little unexpected.
