Arizona vs. Washington: Five Huskies to know for the Wildcats' Halloween matchup in Seattle

Which Washington players should you be afraid of in this Halloween showdown?

The Washington Huskies have won just one Pac-12 conference game this year, but they have plenty of talent and a formidable defense that will surely the scare Arizona's offense during this Halloween matchup. As always, here are five players that you should especially be wary of.

Myles Gaskin, RB, #9

As we know, the Pac-12 is loaded with high-quality running backs - Nick Wilson, Devontae Booker, Christian McCaffrey, etc -- but Washington's Myles Gaskin is quickly becoming a star in his own right. In his last three games,the true freshman has rushed for 397 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those games were against USC and Stanford, two of the tougher defenses in the conference, so his success is not a fluke. Gaskin, at 5-9 192 lbs, is a short, but powerful back that also has breakaway speed -- he has had runs of 72 and 78 yards this season.

Washington's offense has been lackluster this season, but Gaskin does give it some firepower and Arizona's defense will surely have its hands full trying to slow him down.

Joshua Perkins, TE, #82

Arizona has struggled to cover tight ends this season, and unfortunately for them, Washington has a good one in Joshua Perkins. Despite being held without a catch against Stanford, he leads the Huskies in receiving yards (264). Prior that the game, he had three consecutive games of recording at least four catches and 40 receiving yards. Against the Wildcats last year, Perkins had four catches for 55 yards and a touchdown, and that was when Arizona had a good defense.

Travis Feeney, LB, #41

In 2012, Feeney had an outstanding freshman season, with 76 tackles, six tackles for loss, and four sacks. He hadn't played as well as a sophomore or junior, but as a senior he's starting play at that level again. He has 27 tackles and leads the team in tackles for loss (8.5), and sacks (4.5) this season. Arizona's offensive line struggled in pass protection against Washington State, and UW's front seven is a lot more dangerous. Feeney, who is always making plays in the backfield anyway, could be a menace for whoever is starting at QB for Arizona.

Azeem Victor, LB, #36

Alongside Feeney is Azeem Victor. Victor currently leads the Huskies in tackles (61) and 6.5 of them have come behind the line of scrimmage. He's had some very impressive games this year. In UW's upset of USC, Victor had ten tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a sack. He also had 12 tackles against Cal and eight tackles against Stanford. Washington only allows 3.2 yards per carry, and their linebackers have a huge part in that.

Budda Baker, S, #32

We mentioned Myles Gaskin's recent rise to stardom, but he's not the only Husky to breakout recently. Budda Baker is doing it too. In his past three games, Baker has had 26 tackles, including a 10-tackle performance against Stanford where he had an interception too. With Washington being so stout against the run, team's are trying to beat them through the air, with Baker's recent play, that may be easier said than done. The secondary also features Kevin King and Darren Gardenhire who have combined for five interceptions this year.
