The biggest road win of the RichRod era

There have been plenty of big home wins since Rich Rodriguez made his way to Tucson. Last year's Arizona State game is obviously the one that comes to mind first. The demolition of Oregon in 2013 was also pretty good.

But a lot of people looked at that 2013 thrashing of the Ducks as sort of a fluke. B.J. Denker went off, so did Ka'Deem Carey. The Arizona defense was the best it's been in many years.

And then 2014 happened, and it was obvious that 2013 was no fluke.

Arizona scored 31 points in Eugene on that first Thursday of October in 2014.

It may not have been the most productive offensive output by the Wildcats last season, but it was certainly enough. Anu Solomon threw for 287 yards and a touchdown. One of his 20 completions was to himself, which I forgot about until writing this, and now I can't stop watching it.

Terris Jones-Grigsby carried the rock 27 times, which was nearly twice as many rushing attempts than he had in any other game in his career (14 vs. Utah). Kendrick Perkins even enjoyed watching Terris do his thing.

But he was overshadowed by Nick Wilson a little bit, as the freshman found paydirt twice in his 13 attempts, including the truck stick special.

This game had so much. It had Pac-12 officials yelling "PREVIOUS", it had many Arizona pro alums making their teammates do embarrassing things, it had RichRod yelling "You think they ain't partying in Tucson, Arizona", and of course, it had Oregon's offensive coordinator making excuses after having Marcus Mariota catch a pass of his own, which resulted in a touchdown.

Of course, Oregon got a bit of redemption in Santa Clara two months later, but Arizona will hold that regular season winning streak for at least two more years, since the Wildcats and Ducks won't meet before the postseason until 2017.
