Arizona football recruiting: After recent commitments, the Arizona coaching staff can now focus on Brandon Burton

Arizona has its sights on a top 25 recruiting class

Arizona went all in for Michael Eletise these past few months and it paid off. Now, the next top recruit on their board seems to Brandon Burton, 4-star safety, ranked 6th in his position, out of Serra High School (Gardena, CA).

Burton has a top seven filled with powerhouse programs. As of right now, I feel pretty good about Arizona landing Brandon Burton, despite the loaded competition. As Khalil Tate's top receiver, there's a strong connection between the two.

Arizona's recruiting class is currently a consensus top 30 class, ranked No. 27 on 247Sports, No. 23 on Scout and No. 18 on Rivals. If Arizona can land Brandon Burton, I think Arizona pulls off a top 25 recruiting class come February, marking Rich Rod's first class inside the top 30 at Arizona.

The rumors are swirling that Burton is favoring Florida State, as he's good friends with their 2016 5-star quarterback commit Malik Henry and his father also lives in Florida. UCLA is also high in the mix, as he takes frequent visits to the campus.

He has now scheduled visits with Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Alabama, and Oklahoma. It shouldn't be concerning that Arizona didn't make the cut, since it's so close to him that he can take an unofficial visit fairly easily. He has also said that he plans to visit Arizona again sometime during the season.

With Khalil Tate, the unofficially named official ambassador of the 2016 class, expect him to continue to recruit Brandon to join him and the rest of this loaded class in Tucson.
