Chase Budinger gets traded to the Pacers, will be teammates with Jordan Hill once again

Former teammates are reunited

The Indiana Pacers have quickly become Arizona East.

As we know, the Pacers already have former Arizona forward Solomon Hill, but earlier in the week, the Pacers agreed to a deal with Jordan Hill. And today, they struck a deal to acquire Chase Budinger from the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski:

Of course, Jordan Hill and Budinger each played three seasons at Arizona, and were teammates all three years. In their freshman years, they were a part of Lute Olson's final season.

But I think what I (and I'm sure most others) remember Chase and Jordan for is not only being great players at Arizona, but for keeping the program afloat through the two Kevin O'Neill and Russ Pennell transition years.

After Lute Olson's sudden retirement, the program and players were thrown into an extremely unstable situation. Rather than transferring or deciding to enter the NBA, Chase and Jordan decided to stick it out at Arizona. They were able to keep the program at a respectable level until the school was able to hire a new full-time coach, which turned out to be Sean Miller.

If you remember, Chase and Jordan led the Wildcats to two NCAA Tournament appearances during both transition years, and were even able to make it to the Sweet Sixteen in their final season in 2008-2009.

It'll sure bring back a few memories to see them on the court together in the same uniform again.
