Rich Rodriguez and Kenny Lofton are out golfing together

Rich Rodriguez is keeping himself busy this week by taking part in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge, where he's essentially golfing with Kenny Lofton for a few days.

Monday was the skills competition day, including the long drive and closest to pin competitions.

We're going to ignore the closest to pin results, because coach and Lofton did not do so great.

But the long drive competition had some notable things happen.

First off, Kenny Lofton is capable of hitting a golf ball 300 yards. The former Arizona basketball and baseball player hit his golf ball 300.5 yards. Bo Jackson won the celebrity competition with a 331.5 yards, because of course he did, it's Bo Jackson. Jon Barry was second at 318.4 yards.

RichRod almost took home the coach's competition, finishing just behind Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze. Freeze drove his shot 287 yards, and Rodriguez finished second with a 273.3 yard drive.

Urban Meyer's golf game is weak sauce, as the most recent National Champion managed just 239.6 yards.

Tuesday is the big day, where the coaches and their celebrity counterparts compete for a share of $500,000 worth of scholarships and charitable donations. Guessing Lofton will be carrying the Arizona team, but as long as RichRod beats Urban Meyer and Steve Spurrier, it's all worth it.
