Arizona Football Recruiting: Wildcats offer Cal Commit Derrick Clark

Rich Rodriguez continuing to go after running backs for 2016

After sending out a few offers earlier this week, Rich Rodriguez continues to make moves. His latest offer goes to 3-star running back Derrick Clark out of Mission Bay (San Diego, CA).

Clark is the 75th-ranked running back in the nation and 98th-ranked recruit in the state of California. He holds offers to Bowling Green, Navy, Washington State, and California. He committed to the Golden Bears on April 11th.

Arizona has five commits for 2016, four on offense, two of which are running backs. This is an interesting offer, not only because Clark is already committed to a Pac-12 program, but because Arizona has 3-star all-purpose backs in Sean Riley and Russell Halimon.

So how does this make you feel? Do you like Rich Rod going after recruits who are already committed? A little weird, especially considering how strict Rodriguez has become about the word "commit". Another thing to keep in mind is how he might feel about the current situation at running back with this recruiting class going forward.

Clark's junior year highlights are below.
