Rich Rodriguez and Kenny Lofton place T-5 in Chick-fil-A golf tournament
So close to winning
The Arizona Wildcats combo of RichRod and Kenny Lofton came up just one stroke shy of being in the playoff for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge.
The Arizona team shot -8 on Tuesday, which placed them T-5 behind four teams that finished at -9.
The Georgia Tech team of Paul Johnson and Jon Barry won the tournament for the fourth time in five years.
RichRod and Lofton pulled in $40,000 worth of scholarship money with the performance.
You may remember that the two fared pretty well in the long drive contest on Monday.
It's nice that Arizona and RichRod get invited to this thing, seeing as it's almost exclusively SEC, ACC and Big Ten teams with the exception of Arizona and Cincinnati.
