5-star forward Maya Nnaji, Zeke’s sister, has Arizona among finalists

Might we get another Nnaji in Tucson? It’s definitely possible.
Maya Nnaji, the younger sister of former Arizona Wildcats forward Zeke Nnaji, listed UA in her top 13 on Monday. The Wildcats are in contention with Stanford, Florida, UCLA, Georgia, Illinois, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, South Carolina, Oregon and Virginia.

Nnaji is the No. 8 player and No. 3 forward in the 2022 class, according to ESPN’s rankings. ESPN’s Dan Olson evaluates her this way:
Skilled interior performer delivers efficiently in the paint; interior footwork, utilizes either hand to finish in traffic; emerging face up game; a defensive intimidator, alters shots, initiates the fast break, mobile in transition; an impact prospect in the class of 2020.
Like Zeke, Maya attends Hopkins High School in Hopkins, Minnesota. Hopkins was 31-0 and set to play in the Minnesota state championship game before it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
