Arizona in the NBA Finals: Solomon Hill, Andre Iguodala help Heat secure crucial Game 3 win over Lakers

NBA: Miami Heat at Indiana Pacers Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat earned a hard-fought 115-104 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals in what was a must-win situation.

Despite missing Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic for the second straight night, the Heat controlled the game from start to finish thanks to a triple-double from Jimmy Butler.

Butler scored 40 points to go with 13 assists and 11 rebounds while five other Heat reached double figures in scoring.

Andre Iguodala contributed 17 minutes off the bench which amounted to two points, three assists and a rebound. Solomon Hill played just four minutes but knocked down a big 3-pointer with 51 seconds left in the second quarter to extend Miami’s lead to 56-51.

The Lakers were out of sorts all night, highlighted by their 19 turnovers including nine in the first seven minutes. LeBron James led Los Angeles with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

What’s next?

Improbably, the Heat can tie the series at two games even with a Game 4 victory. Tip-off is set for Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. PT on ABC.
