Texas cornerback Javione Carr commits to Arizona

The Arizona Wildcats picked up a commitment from Javione Carr on Thursday, a cornerback from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas.

Carr is not ranked by 247Sports, but held offers from Texas Tech, Kansas State, Northwestern, Kansas and some mid-majors.

Listed at 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, Carr becomes the 23rd member of Arizona’s 2021 class, which ranks 48th in the country and sixth in the Pac-12, per 247Sports.

Carr is also Arizona’s seventh commit from Texas.
