There won’t be a sweep in the Eastern Conference semifinals, not after the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks managed to rally on Sunday without their top player.

Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo suffering an ankle injury early in the second quarter Game 4, causing him to miss the rest of the game, the Bucks forced overtime and held on for a 118-115 win over the Miami Heat. Miami leads the best-of-seven series 3-1, with Sunday’s loss their first in the playoffs after seven consecutive victories.

Antetokounmpo had 19 points in 11 minutes before aggravating an injury first suffered in Game 3. In his absence, Krhis Middleton stepped up with a playoff-career high 36 points along with eight rebounds and eight assists.

Miami was led by Bam Adebayo, who had 26 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, one of six players in double figures for the Heat. Not among that group was ex-UA star Andre Iguodala, who went scoreless in 22 minutes off the bench.

It was the first time Iguodala has failed to score in 153 career playoff games.

Also scoreless for Miami was ex-Wildcat Solomon Hill, who has not appeared in any playoff game and last saw action for the Heat on Aug. 14.

What’s next

Game 5 between the Heat and Bucks is set for 3:30 p.m. MST Tuesday, with TNT airing the contest.

On Monday at 3:30 p.m. MST (TNT) is Game 5 of the other Eastern Conference semifinal series between the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors, which is tied at 2 after Toronto won the last two meetings. Toronto’s roster includes former UA stars Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Stanley Johnson, though that duo has not been a factor so far in the series.
