The Arizona Wildcats released their 2020-21 roster on Saturday. You can see it here, and here are some quick takeaways.

  • Tibet Gorener is listed at 6-foot-8, 200 pounds, five pounds heavier than his 247Sports profile. That is good news since he needs to bulk up before he can be a significant contributor. He will wear No. 5.
  • Kerr Kriisa will wear No. 25, the same number Steve Kerr wore at Arizona. (Yes, Kriisa was named after Kerr.) Kriisa is listed at 6-foot-2, 165 pounds. He is the first student-athlete from Estonia to sign with Arizona since at least 1996-97.
  • Dalen Terry will not wear No. 31 like Jason Terry, however. (No relation.) Dalen will wear No. 4. He is listed at 6-foot-7, 190 pounds. Recruiting services said he was 6-foot-6.
  • Christian Koloko is listed at 220 pounds after playing at 215 last year. He said earlier this offseason that he wants to weigh 235 by the time the season begins, but lockdowns slowed his progression.
  • Daniel Batcho and Azuolas Tubelis are both listed at 6-foot-10, 240 pounds. Batcho is the first student-athlete from France to sign with Arizona since at least 1996-97, according to his bio.
  • Tautvilas Tubelis is listed at 6-foot-7, 210 pounds. He and his brother are first Lithuanians to play for Arizona. Tautvilas will wear No. 20 and Azuolas will wear No. 10.
  • Bennedict Mathurin is listed at 6-foot-6, 195 pounds, five pounds heavier than what his recruiting profile listed him as. He will wear No. 0, just like Josh Green.
  • Mathurin is the only player listed at two positions—guard/forward. So let’s just call him a wing.
  • Grad transfer Terrell Brown is listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, his same measurements at Seattle U.
  • Arizona’s new walk-on is Grant Weitman, a Tucson native and all-state player from nearby Salpointe Catholic.
  • James Akinjo is listed as a junior, dashing any hope that he would get his sophomore year back after only appearing in seven games at Georgetown. He will wear No. 13 at Arizona after wearing No. 3 with the Hoyas.
  • Jordan Brown has gained 30 pounds—from 210 to 240. He is expected to replace Zeke Nnaji in the starting lineup and he’s already doing a good job. Nnaji was also listed at 6-foot-11, 240 pounds and Brown now has the same haircut as his predecessor:
