For the second consecutive game, the Miami Heat overcame a double-digit first half deficit to top the Boston Celtics, winning Thursday 106-101 to grab a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Miami trailed by as many as 17 points in Game 2 but outscored Boston 37-17 in the third quarter and then hung on in the fourth.

Goran Dragic led the Heat with 25 points, while Bam Adebayo recorded a 21 point, 10 rebound double-double. Duncan Robinson was lights out from behind the arc, making six of 12 3-point attempts.

Kemba Walker led the Celtics with 23 points.

Former Arizona star Andre Iguodala played seven minutes off the bench without taking a field goal attempt and also had one assist.

Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra said Iguodala missed the second half because of a tight back.

Spoelstra went with a small rotation most of the night, as all five Heat starters plus sixth man Tyler Herro played 32 or more minutes. Kelly Olynyk was the only other Miami bench player with double digits in minutes.

Former Wildcat Solomon Hill has yet to appear in the playoffs.

What’s next?

The Heat go for a commanding 3-0 series lead when they face the Celtics Saturday at 5:30 p.m. MST on ESPN. The winner of the series takes on the Lakers or the Nuggets in the NBA Finals.
