The warmest month of the year in Tucson continues to be the hottest one for the Arizona Wildcats on the recruiting trail.

In addition to picking up their ninth commitment of the Class of 2021, and sixth in June, Monday saw the Wildcats included among the finalists for a pair of 3-star California prospects.

First to do so was defensive end Kaleb Elarms-Orr, who released a top 7 that also includes Boise State, Cal, Colorado, Fresno State, Kansas and San Diego State .

That was followed shortly by offensive tackle Garrett DiGiorgio, who gave out a top 8 that also features Cal, Duke, UCLA, Oregon State, Utah, Washington State and San Diego State:

The 6-foot-3, 223-pound Elarms-Orr is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 462 player in the 2021 recruiting class. He’s considered the 31st-best weak-side defensive end in the country and the No. 41 prospect from California.

As a junior at Moreau Catholic in Hayward, Calif., Elarms-Orr recorded 121 tackles with 35 for loss including 14 sacks.

247Sports ranks the 6-foot-7, 295-pound DiGiorgio as the No. 678 player in the 2021 class, the No. 56 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 61 prospect from the Golden State. He plays for Serrano High School in Phelan, Calif.

Both DiGiorgio and Elarms-Orr were among the dozens of 2021 prospects Arizona offered during the early weeks of the recruiting dead period prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Here are their respective junior year highlights:
