If the Arizona Wildcats do anything of significance during the 2020 season it will qualify as a surprise, at least based on how one Las Vegas sportsbook is projecting them to play in the fall.

Caesars Entertainment has set the season win total line at 4.5 for Arizona, according to ESPN betting guru Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica.

That total falls right in between the number of victories Arizona has had in each of the two seasons under Kevin Sumlin. The Wildcats went 5-7 in 2018 then dipped to 4-8 last season.

Only Colorado (3) has a lower projected win total than Arizona among Pac-12 schools. Oregon State, Stanford and UCLA are all at 5.5 wins, while Washington State (6), Cal (7), ASU (8), USC (8), Utah (8.5), Washington (8.5) and Oregon (9.5) are all projected to be bowl eligible.

Arizona hasn’t had three consecutive losing seasons since doing so six straight years from 2000-05, with 6-6 campaigns on either side of that stretch.
