The Pac-12 has announced its annual Hall of Honor inductees, a list that includes for Arizona Wildcats standout Sean Rooks.

Rooks played for the UA under coach Lute Olson from 1988-92, helping the Wildcats to three Pac-10 titles and earning conference MVP honors as a senior when he averaged 16.3 points and 6.9 rebounds. The 6-foot-10 center blocks 142 shots in his career, which is sixth-best in school history, and his .558 shooting percentage ranks 10th.

A second-round pick of the Dallas Mavericks in the 1992 NBA Draft, Rooks played in the NBA for 12 seasons before eventually moving into coaching. He was on the staffs of three different NBA teams between 2010-16 before passing away from heart disease at the age of 46 in June 2016.

Rooks is one of 12 former Pac-12 athletes that will be honored on March 13 in Las Vegas prior to the semifinals of the Pac-12 tournament at T-Mobile Arena. Other honorees include former Oregon quarterback Dan Fouts, ex-UCLA offensive lineman Jonathan Ogden and ex-Washington offensive lineman Lincoln Kennedy.
