International wing Ben Mathurin expected to pick between Arizona and Baylor

The Baylor Bears beat the Arizona Wildcats on the hardwood this year, but maybe UA can get some revenge on the recruiting trail.
2020 international prospect Ben Mathurin is expected to pick between Arizona and Baylor, according to Evan Daniels of 247Sports.
Baylor's Scott Drew and Arizona's Sean Miller are both at the Tarkanian Classic to watch target Ben Mathurin. He's expected to pick between the two.

The 6-foot-6 wing is unranked but Daniels wrote that he will be a four-star prospect once he commits to a school.
Mathurin currently lives in Mexico but is originally from Quebec, Canada. He visited Arizona on Nov. 27 and Baylor on Nov. 16. UA coach Sean Miller and Baylor coach Scott Drew watched Mathurin at the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas on Dec. 19 where he had a strong performance.
“Mathurin showed why his stock has been rising among college coaches,” Daniels wrote. “Mathurin connected on three of four 3-point attempts, used his athleticism to make plays at the rim and showed his defensive potential.”
Arizona will have a lot of roster spots to fill this offseason with the graduations of Chase Jeter, Stone Gettings, Dylan Smith and Max Hazzard along with the possible NBA departures of Nico Mannion, Josh Green and Zeke Nnaji. But it currently only has one 2020 commit in four-star guard Dalen Terry, so there is a lot of work to be done on the recruiting trail.
Here are some of Mathurin’s highlights:
