The Arizona Wildcats baseball team has earned the No. 18 spot in Collegiate Baseball's 2020 preseason rankings.

It's the fourth consecutive year Arizona has made the preseason poll, and the highest it's been ranked to start a season since opening No. 7 in 2017.

Arizona enters the 2020 campaign on a 10-game winning streak, having gone 32-24 last spring but not earning an NCAA tournament bid. The Wildcats failed to make the field due to a poor start to the season in non-conference play as well as a 14-15 mark in the Pac-12 but return several key players, including sophomore catcher Austin Wells,—the reigning Conference Freshman of the Year—as well as junior C/1B Matthew Dyer, junior OF Donta Williams and sophomore IF Dayton Dooney.

The Wildcats also signed the No. 11 recruiting class for 2020 including four players who passed on pro contracts after being drafted.

The UA opens play Feb. 14 vs. Albany, the first of 32 games at Hi Corbett Field.
