The Arizona Wildcats played the final game of the Wooden Legacy one man short in the frontcourt. It appears that’s going to be the case for some time.

Arizona coach Sean Miller announced Thursday that forward Stone Gettings is out indefinitely with a facial fracture and concussion. The injury occurred during the Wildcats’ 92-82 win over Pepperdine during the Wooden Legacy semifinals, causing the fifth-year senior to miss the title game against Wake Forest.

A graduate transfer from Cornell, Gettings was averaging 5.4 points and 2.5 rebounds through Arizona’s first eight games, playing 13.5 minutes per contest. He and junior forward Ira Lee took turns being the first frontcourt player off the bench, but with his absence it means freshman center Christian Koloko is likely to see more action.

Gettings was shooting 50 percent from the field and has hit 4 of 9 three-pointers.
