Devonaire Doutrive will return from suspension Thursday when the Arizona Wildcats host San Jose State, according to Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star.
The sophomore guard was held out of the first two games after violating an undisclosed team rule. Head coach Sean Miller said Tuesday that there was “a chance” Doutrive would be active Thursday so long as a few things fell into place.
Devonaire Doutrive is available to play tonight vs San Jose State after sitting out two games plus an exhibition game with a suspension for unspecified reasons. He warmed up early at McKale.

Doutrive will likely come off the bench until he gets back into the swing of things, though he has been practicing during his suspension, so it might not be long before he breaks into the starting lineup
The former four-star recruit averaged 3.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game as a freshman, becoming a fan-favorite because of the energy he plays with.
Miller said before the season that Doutrive might be Arizona’s most improved player.
“When he came here, he weighed below 170 and yet he’s 6-5,” Miller said. “So he needed time, he needed a year’s worth of practices, he needed to get a sense of what it felt like on and off the court here. He needed more time in our weight room, and you’ll see just physically he’s more mature, he’s bigger, stronger. Even a year ago with as slight as he was, one knack he has is as an offensive rebounder. He could keep the ball alive and that’s a big skill. And I think with Devonaire this year when you talk about perimeter depth, he’s somebody that we’re counting on to really improve from year one to year two.”
