Arizona’s 28-14 home win over Texas Tech on Saturday was buoyed by one of the team’s best overall defensive performances in years. And the individual play of one Wildcat defender was good enough to make Pro Football Focus’ Pac-12 Team of the Week.

True freshman cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace was one of 11 players highlighted by PFF for his play in Week 3, the first from Arizona to make one of those lists this season.

Roland-Wallace started at boundary corner against Texas Tech, his second start of the season, and finished with four tackles. For the season he has six tackles, an interception and a pass break-up.

The 5-foot-11, 198-pound Roland-Wallace was a 3-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, ranking as the No. 70 athlete in the country and the No. 97 player from California.
