Five-star kicker Tyler Loop has committed to the Arizona Wildcats, according to his Twitter bio. The Lucas, Texas native is the No. 8 kicker in the 2020 class, according to Kohl’s Kicking.

Loop officially visited the UA this weekend. He is also listed as a 4.5-star punter.

“He is one of the most refined field goal kickers in the country,” reads his Kohl’s Kicking profile. “He has the talent to play at a top Division 1 college and this upcoming year. In December Loop won the field goal and kickoff portion of the Texas Showcase. His ball striking was outstanding. In July of 2018 Loop charted an 82-yard, 3.7 second kickoff at camp with a tailwind. He also scored 24 points during the field goal portion of the Kohl’s National Scholarship camp in July of 2018. Loop is a solid D1 kicker and will compete early in his career in college.”

Loop’s average kickoff distance is 64.40 yards, with an average hang time of 3.74 seconds, per Kohl’s Kicking. He went 4 for 5 on field goals in 2018 and 52 for 53 on extra points.
