Washington standout Noah Dickerson leaves with injury in win vs. UCLA

The Arizona Wildcats have rare weekend off during Pac-12 play, an extended break between their last game—Thursday’s overtime loss at ASU—and the Feb. 7 home game against the conference-leading Washington Huskies.

But UW could be without their one of its best players after senior forward Noah Dickerson exited Saturday’s 69-55 home win over UCLA with lower leg injury.

Dickerson landed awkwardly on his left foot going up for a block early in the second half and did not return. He went to the locker room and later came back to the bench on crutches and with ice on the injured foot, trading up for a more mobile way to protect the area after the game.

The 6-foot-8 Dickerson was averaging 13.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game entering Saturday, ranking him as the No. 3 player in the Pac-12, per KenPom.com. He had three points and six rebounds in 14 minutes, also leaving the game in the first half with an apparent left shoulder injury.

Washington (18-4, 9-0) is running away with the Pac-12 race, off to its best start in league play since 1953-54. Not having Dickerson would make an impact, though, since his Player Efficiency Rating of 25.6 is fourth-best in the conference.

Dickerson had 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting against Arizona last year in Seattle. He is averaging 13.5 points in two games at McKale Center, both losses, the most recent one in January 2017.
