Arizona to hire Ball State offensive line coach Kyle DeVan to same position, per report

The Arizona Wildcats are hiring Ball State offensive line coach Kyle DeVan to the same position, according to Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star.

DeVan replaces Joe Gilbert, who left to coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after one year in Tucson.

DeVan has been Ball State’s offense line coach since 2016 and added the title of assistant head coach in 2017. Prior to that he was the New Orleans Saints’ assistant offensive line coach in 2015 and a graduate assistant at USC and Oregon State.

DeVan graduated from Oregon State in 2007 where he started 38 games and was named Second-Team All-Pac-12 in 2008. He then spent five seasons in the NFL with the Colts, Eagles and Titans. He started at right guard for the Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.
