Ira Lee takes plea agreement in DUI case, will spend Sunday night in jail
Arizona Wildcats sophomore forward Ira Lee will spend a night in the Pima County Jail as part of a plea agreement he entered earlier this month for a DUI citation from the summer.
According to Pima County Justice Court documents, Lee was sentenced on Dec. 6 to four days in jail but was eligible to spend the final three in home detention with an ankle monitor. He will serve his one day at the Pima County Jail on Sunday, the day after Arizona plays UC-Davis in its final nonconference game before the holiday break.
He must also pay $1,492 in fines, drive with an interlock device in his vehicle for one year and spend 12 months on probation.
Lee was pulled over on Aug. 19 near campus and cited for, among other things, super extreme DUI due to one of his breathalyzer results registering 0.215.
The UA basketball team announced in October that Lee would serve a one-game suspension for the incident, which he served in the season opener Nov. 6 against Houston Baptist. In 11 games since he is 4.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game off the bench.
