5-star forward Josh Green lists Arizona in Top 6

The Arizona Wildcats are a finalist for five-star forward Josh Green. The 2019 prospect announced his top six schools Monday and the UA made the cut along with Villanova, North Carolina, Kansas, USC, and UNLV

The 6-foot-6 Green is the No. 11 prospect in the 2019 class and No. 3 small forward, per 247Sports composite rankings. North Carolina is viewed as the favorite.

The Tar Heels offered Green on July 31 and the five most recent Crystal Ball predictions believe he is Chapel Hill bound.

Green has visited Arizona at least three times. He took unofficial visits to the UA in October, June, and February of 2017, per 247Sports.

Green is an AAU teammate of five-star point guard Nico Mannion, who recently listed Arizona in his final four.

“Their chemistry in the backcourt is second to none and it clearly shows in each contest that they pair up in,” Rivals’ Corey Evans wrote of Mannion and Green. “Not only are they talented prospects and two of the best in their respective classes, but they’re also unselfish playmakers that can be used in a variety of roles which reflects their strong set of intangibles and winning background.”

Green attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida where he averaged 27.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game last season.

Green used to attend Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix — the same school Deandre Ayton went to — before transferring to IMG before his junior season. He is originally from Australia.
