Arizona in NBA Summer League: Allonzo Trier explodes for 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists
Tremendous all-around game for Trier
Allonzo Trier never recorded a double-double during his three-year tenure with the Arizona Wildcats.
It took him three games to record one with the New York Knicks at Summer League.
Trier had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in a 109-92 loss to the Lakers on Tuesday in Las Vegas. The former Wildcat was 8-of-13 from the field, 1-of-3 from 3, and 4-of-7 from the free-throw line in 30 minutes.
Among New York’s starters, Trier easily had the best plus/minus (-5). He started at point guard as Frank Ntilikina sat out.
Here are his highlights:
Kobi Simmons was the other Wildcat in action Tuesday. He had 11 points and three assists as the Memphis Grizzlies lost to the Sacramento Kings 94-80. Simmons was 5-for-14 from the field.
Tuesday was the last day for seeding, so the playoff rounds begin Wednesday. The bracket should be announced soon and it will be posted here immediately.
Miles Simon and the Lakers are 3-0. So are Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns.
