Ira Lee expected to return for Pac-12 Tournament
The freshman has missed the last four games with a concussion
The Arizona Wildcats expect Ira Lee to return in time for the Pac-12 Tournament, head coach Sean Miller said after Saturday’s win vs. Cal.
Lee has missed the last four games with a concussion.
Miller had said Thursday that Lee had a chance to play Saturday, and the freshman went through shoot-around, but he was not cleared for full contact in time for tip-off.
“That will be the final straw,” Miller said Saturday. “We anticipate him being cleared for Monday (practice).”
Miller said Lee is “just about symptom-free.”
Arizona faces the winner of the Colorado-ASU game on Thursday at 1 p.m. MST in Las Vegas in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament.
Lee is averaging 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.6 minutes this season. The freshman forward serves as depth behind big men Dusan Ristic and Deandre Ayton, mostly providing rebounding and defense to the Wildcats.
